The balanced offensive attack offset a 25-point effort by Bloomfield's Kyle Williamson. It was the third time this season the two teams have met and with the win, Puxico holds a 2-1 advantage.
"We got off to a good start," Puxico coach Josh Dowdy said. "We executed our offense and led 35-23 at the half."
Dowdy said Bloomfield played a zone against his team and senior J Hon answered the challenge.
"J (Hon) hit three 3-pointers in the first quarter and four in the first half," Dowdy said.
Bloomfield pushed the ball more in the second half and the Indians had a "defensive let down," according to Dowdy as the Wildcats scored 25 third-quarter points after only totaling 23 in the first half.
Dowdy said junior Travis Stuart gave the team a big lift in the second half with some quality minutes off the bench.
"He (Stuart) really played hard defensively and hit some big free throws," Dowdy added.
With the win, Puxico improved to 13-9 overall and 3-2 in SCAA play.

the guy can coach. haven't seen anyone as intense on the sideline since D Heeb at BC. how many T's has he got this year?
I bet that ole Dowdy kid will be coaching at Dexter before too long. He's a Coach Hall prodigy...played for him back in the day. And he's beat them boys three times already and lives there. The over/under is 3 years...
