The girls' win was led by Brittney Waldner and Lizzie Kohlbaker, who first second and third, respectively, with times of 21:58 and 22:40.
Hannah Baker contributed to the victory with a 6th place finish (24:06) and Amelia Jibben added a 9th place finish for the team with a time of 25:17. Hannah Mathis was 11th (25:19) and Patti Beck finished 19th (29:05).
The top 15 runners in each division earned a medal.
"Overall I was very proud of the girls as they competed well and ran pretty tough," Dexter coach Jill King stated.
On the boys side, Luke Robinson was the top finisher with a 21st place finish and a time of 21:25. He was followed by Ryan Bagby 26th (22:13) and Alex Allstun 30th (23:12).
"With a young bunch of guys it makes it nice to look towards the future," King noted. "If they keep working hard they will reach their goals for the season."
Dexter will next be in action Saturday at 10 a. m. when the team will compete in Cape Girardeau at Cape Central High School.
