Friday, October 3, 2008

Dexter's Chase Young (No. 45) is brought down by two Kennett defenders after a nice gain during Thursday's 8th grade game at Charles Bland Stadium in Dexter. Kennett scored late in the fourth quarter to lock up a 16-6 win over the young Bearcats. Dexter got a measure of revenge later when the freshman Bearcats posted an impressive, 45-6, win over the visiting Indians.

With only a limited number of 8th graders going out for the team and sticking with it, these young n's have played hard and played well. Each should be commended for being dedicated and sticking with it. Scoreboard isn't the only place you can WIN in sports.
