DHS cross country girls finish third

Tuesday, October 21, 2008
FARMINGTON -- Dexter's cross country team competed at Farmington Saturday and the girls brought home a third-place finish.

Fourteen teams competed in the meet, and Dexter's Lizzie Kohlbaker finished sixth to lead the Lady 'Cats with a time of 21:52.

"The girls ran a decent race this week," Dexter coach Jill King said. "With two tough meets in a row they did pretty well and now we have a week off so hopefully we can get out legs back under us and be ready for districts (Saturday, Nov. 1).

Other girls recording times were Hannah Baker 14th (22:55); Jessica Litchfield 15th (23:00), Amelia Jibben 25th (23:54), Hannah Mathis 29th and Brittney Waldner 33rd.

On the boys side, Luke Robinson continued to lead the way with a time of 19:45 and a 42nd finish, followed by Alex Allstun at 46th (20:13)
