Dexter's Lady Bearcats cross country team packed their bags and headed north for the MSHSAA state meet Friday morning after the squad advanced with a second place finish at the Class 3, District 1 meet last Saturday. Dexter coach Jill King said this is the first time a Dexter cross country team has ever qualified for state competition. Team members are (standing, from left) Madisson Baker, Lizzie Kohlbaker, Hannah Baker, Brittney Waldner, Hannah Mathis (standing, top) Amelia Jibben (standing on steps) and Jessica Litchfield (kneeling). The team will compete Saturday in Jefferson City.

boys have been the same forever, girls jackets have been changed several times by girls from the different classes. I had to special order last years letter jacket for girls that has leather blk, red and white sleeves. It took awhile but looks the best. Traci at BA knows how to get what you want. For some reason over the years the girls have had different tastes and wanted different styles. The boys have stayed the same
Congratulations to those kids, must be one heck of an experience. Good for them.
Makes me once again feel sad for the DHS softball teams who will, due to Dexters refusal to move forward like almost every other school in SEMO, never have the chance to experience this.
Way to go GIRLS!!!
The boys letter jackets are red with black sleeves. The girls jackets are black with red and white sleeves.
Congratulations and best of luck.
Don't you guys think maybe the district could spring for a nice comfortable VAN or something? Riding to Jefferson City in the Big Yellow is no fun I'm sure.
Just a question...are the boys' letter jackets also red sleeves on black now? Any idea how long ago it changed? Used to be black sleeves on red.
Sorry shannonhoon...I had to ask. :-)
Good luck girls! Make all of Southeast Missouri proud!
GOOD LUCK GIRLS! YOU CAN DO THIS!
